The video that helped bring Olympic Volleyball to Orange County.
The Challenge
Honda Center was competing with another major Southern California venue to host Olympic Volleyball during the LA28 Games. As part of the venue proposal, leadership needed a sizzle that would convince the Olympic committee that Honda Center and Orange County were the right choice.
The Approach
Rather than creating a video version of our venue tour, we wanted to capture the energetic feeling Honda Center brings to Orange County by highlighting the capabilities, scale, and legacy of Honda Center. By combining iconic moments, crowd hype, and highlights from world-class events, the video positioned the arena as a venue capable of delivering an unforgettable Olympic experience.
My Role
I edited the proposal film, sourced archival footage, and crafted the sound design to build the hype from beginning to end. My focus was on creating a piece that felt exciting, emotionally charged, and worthy of the Olympic stage. All while balancing practical information with the excitement of live sports and entertainment.

LA28 Olympic Volleyball Bid Film
The Outcome
The film became the centerpiece of Honda Center's presentation to the Olympic committee and helped win the bid to host Olympic Volleyball during the LA28 games. At a celebratory town hall meeting where they also shared the video, the OCVIBE CEO stated the committee was in awe when they watched it on the Honda Center jumbotron.
